Riunite & CIV, Cevico and Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim: good Partners!
Italian and German wine experts have come together in the company Vintalia Weinhandels GmbH & Co. KG, with the renowned Italian wine co-operatives Riunite & CIV and Cevico contributing their decades of experience. The history of the German partner, Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim AG, stretches right back to the 19th Century. This successful cooperation has existed since 1990, with the original German partner being Sektkellerei Nymphenburg GmbH.
Vintalia sells and distributes particularly high-quality sparkling and Spumante wines under the umbrella brand LineaVini®. Every individual product embodies the highly-respected tradition of the Italian wine-producing regions. That is why each bottle is carefully filled on location before being distributed to a wide range of countries.
A particularly successful chapter in the history of the Italian-German joint venture started in the year 1996 when BIū® Prosecco, the fresh sparkling wine we all know and love today, came on the market. The demand was enormous, and this Frizzante in the distinctive blue and silver packaging quickly developed into one of the most significant brands in the Prosecco market segment. This led Vintalia to pair the dry BIū® with a semi-fruity variety. Now lovers of BIū® can enjoy the taste of a glass of dry or semi-dry Prosecco.
In March 2010, the distinctive blue bottle - the hallmark of the BIū® Prosecco brand - was combined with a new image designed by a renowned Italian design agency. With its distinctive elements and sweeping lines, the new look BIū Prosecco fulfills all the necessary design requirements while still occupying a class of its own.
BIū Prosecco is produced from Prosecco wines in the Colli Trevigiani, a hilly region in Northern Italy near Treviso. It is cellared and bottled at Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene, one of the most tradition-rich Prosecco producers in Italy. The birthplace of the blue jewel therefore lies in the Veneto region in the heart of Italy. Situated in the countryside between the two towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene is the so-called Strada del Prosecco where wine growers cultivate around 3,600 hectares of grape-producing land. Only Prosecco originating from the legally-defined region can receive the D.O.C./D.O.P. seal of quality. BIū Prosecco therefore offers not only an exceptional taste, but also a strictly-controlled origin.
In addition to the new look, the product range will be extended in May 2010 to include a new Rosé variety. The introduction of BIū® Rosato, an IGT/IGP from the Marca Trevigiana region, is fully in keeping with current consumer trends as Rosé wines are extremely popular at the moment. With its soft sparkling rosy hue, Rosato is guaranteed to add some color to your day.
One of the company Vintalias most successful products besides BIū® has been Nerō® Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro D.O.C.
